John Little was a farmer from
Hathersage when Baron De Belleme captured and possessed him to do his
bidding. Despatched to kill Robin of Loxley whom the Baron realised was
the prophesised saviour known as 'The Hooded Man', John fought and was
bested by Robin who then broke the Baron's enchantment and John gratefuly
pledged himself to Robin's cause.
A true gentle giant, Little John was the bands dependable rock, one who
would always stand his ground against the odds.
Still, there was a longing in John to leave the outlaw life and return to
his shepherding roots which would sometimes cause John to act selfishly
without thinking of the consequences to those around him a prime example
being his relationship with a woman from Wickam village.

Clive Mantle has
worked extensively in television and theatre and is best known as Doctor
'Mike Barrett' in the BBC hospital dramas 'Casualty' and spin off 'Holby
City'. He has crossed the boundaries of Drama and comedy with roles in his
own sitcom 'Bloomin Marvelous' (1997) and roles in 'The Vicar of Dibley'
and 'Bottom' as examples.
