Friar Tuck was assigned as
chaplain to the Sheriff when he overheard a plot between the Abbot and his
brother Robert De Rainault - the Sherrif of Nottingham, to give the lady
Marion to the Baron De Bellene in return for the land she was due as her
inheritance.
Tuck is very protective and loyal to Marion, who he calls "little
flower". But despite his best efforts to protect her the Baron
succeeds in taking her; Tuck is found by Robin Hood and he then aids them
in attacking castle Belleme and freeing Marion. He rejects his corrupt
masters and pledges himself to the 'Merry men's cause - to help and
protect the poor.

Tuck would prove to be perhaps the
most loyal and faithful of all Robin's men; when Robin of Loxley died and
the group separated he stays in Sherwood, waiting... till Robert of
Huntingdon searches him out to help once again rescue Marion...
